[ARCHIVED] Mayor Green to Host Earth Day Citywide Cleanup on April 21

Citywide Cleanup

EAST ORANGE, NJ, April 21, 2018: East Orange Mayor Ted Green and the East Orange City Council are hosting an Earth Day Citywide Cleanup on Sat, April 21. More than 40 teams, including a group from Comcast Cares, will gather at 8:30am at City Hall Plaza to pick up supplies and tools before heading out to various neighborhoods throughout the city.

Teams will meet at Hillcrest Terrace and Mountainview Avenue for a special tree-planting ceremony in honor of the late community icon Armelia Grooms.


Who:            

Mayor Ted R. Green, East Orange City Council, Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake, Essex County Democratic Chairman LeRoy Jones, city officials and student and business/community groups citywide.

Earth Day Citywide Clean-Up

When: 

Saturday, April 21, 2018 starting at 8:30am at City Hall Plaza

Where:  

Locations include: 

East Orange Campus High, 344 Prospect Street

Fellowship Civic Center, 1 Fellowship Circle

American Wear, North 18th Street

Sierra House, 85 North 14th Street

East Orange Housing Authority, North Walnut and William Street

Newark Border at Tremont and South Munn Avenues
