[ARCHIVED] East Orange Senior Services' Hosts Men’s Health Conference and Healthy BBQ on June 5

East Orange, NJ, June 3, 2019:  To celebrate June as Men’s Health Month, the East Orange Division of Senior Services will host its 2nd Annual Men’s Health Conference and Healthy BBQ on Wednesday, June 5 between 3pm-7pm at 90 Halsted Street in East Orange.

The City of East Orange is dedicated to enriching men’s health and wellness by providing the men in our community with the resources to stay healthy such as free screenings for glucose and blood pressure and important educational information on cancer, coronary heart disease, diabetes, nutrition, tobacco cessation, mammographies, vision, and more!

The intent of the conference is to raise awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men.

The event is co-sponsored by East Orange General Hospital, Robert Wood Johnson/Clara Maass Hospital, Rutgers University Hospital, the Alzheimer’s Association, East Orange’s Department of Health & Human Services, the American Heart Association, Walgreens, Johnson & Johnson, CareSparc, and RWJ Barnabas Health.

Free transportation will be provided to East Orange seniors. This event is open to men over the age of 18 in East Orange and the surrounding areas. For more information, please call 973.266.8832, ext. 101.
