[ARCHIVED] East Orange Partners with ProudLiving Realty for Community Clean-Up Initiative

August 11, 2020, East Orange, NJ: The City of East Orange is excited to announce a new community clean-up initiative with ProudLiving Realty to encourage residents to take part in communal removal of garbage, debris and eyesores throughout the city.

On August 11, between 3pm-5pm, Mayor Ted Green, East Orange City Council, the quality of life team and ProudLiving volunteers will be cleaning up in the area of North 18th Street and Eaton Place in the Fourth Ward. Participants are set to assemble at 2:30pm.

 With the assistance of SLZ Waste, (2) 30-yard dumpsters have been placed on North 18th Street where clean-up volunteers can deposit all collected garbage. Residents are also welcomed to continue utilizing the dumpsters which will be in place until Thursday morning.

SLZ Waste is also providing an ice cream truck to offset the hot temperatures during the clean-up.

“As we continue to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve had to discover new and innovative ways to collaboratively keep our city clean,” said Mayor Green. “I am happy to see community partners such as ProudLiving take initiative to keep our city clean.”
