Overview

The Environmental Division of the Health Department conducts Food Safety inspections and Communicable Disease Reporting and Control. It investigates complaints relating to Public Health nuisance, Environmental Health (air, solid waste, hazardous material), Tobacco Age of Sale and enforces mandated health code violations.

Animal Control Related Duties

They are also responsible for monitoring animal control regulations and violations, rodent control projects, animal control and seasonal activities such as pool inspections (June - September) and administering the Annual Rabies Clinics (June and September) which are free to residents.
