City of East Orange
Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)
HOME Investment Partnership (HOME)-American Rescue Plan (ARP)
The City of East Orange has received $1,859,520 million in HOME-ARP Program funds.
HOME-ARP funding was created to assist qualifying populations including individuals or households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and other vulnerable populations, by providing housing, rental assistance, supportive services, and non-congregate shelter, to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability across the country.
These grant funds will be administered through HUD’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).
The City will make funds available for activities once the HOME-ARP Allocation Plan’s associated consultation, public participation process and HUD approval process have been completed through the substantial amendment of the FY 2021 Annual Action Plan for the purposes of the HOME-ARP program.
The City encourages participation at the public hearing to allow citizens an opportunity to provide input on the proposed HOME ARP Allocation Plan and the projected use of the funds. A copy of the HOME ARP Allocation Plan can be reviewed on the City of East Orange Community Development website at https://www.eastorange-nj.gov/223/Community-Development.
Comments received during the 15-day public comment period of February 12th through February 28th will be considered prior to final submission of the HOME ARP Allocation Plan to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The City will host a public hearing held via Zoom on February 22nd at 6pm.
